MARCH 6, 2010 ROCK 'N' FOR THE OSPCA

To be held at the Joyland Beach Community Centre at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are $20.00. This is a 3rd party event where you will enjoy live music, food and a silent auction.

MARCH 2010, QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER

Watch for our quarterly newsletter 'The Shelter Scoop'. It will be filled with lots of exciting information, fundraising events, an animal featured story and lots more. It will be available at the shelter, as well as printed in The Paket and Times newspaper

APRIL 2010, VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION

The date is to be confirmed and will be held at the Ontario SPCA Orillia Branch, 467 West St., Orillia, from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

MAY 16, 2010 FRIENDS FOR LIFE WALK A THON

To be held at the Pavillion at Couchiching Beach Park. Registratiom at 9:00 a.m., walk starts at 10:00 a.m.
Mayor Ron Stevens will get our walk underway at 10:00 a.m. and there will be a lunch provided to all participants courtesy of Domino’s Pizza. This is a great family event and no dog is required to walk, you can walk in memory of a loved one or pet. Lots of fun contests, raffles, and prizes will be awarded. POUNDS FOR THE POUND CHALLENGE

Genesis Health and Fitness and the Orillia SPCA are pleased to present the "Pounds for the Pound Challenge. Lose weight and help the Orillia SPCA. The challenge will run from May 1 - 31, 2010. Members and non members may Participate
If you are a non-member you may join Genesis Health and Fitness for the month of May for a reduced monthly rate of only $49.00 and participate in the 'Pounds for the Pound Challenge'
Have your friends and family sponsor you for every pound you lose on the challenge. All proceeds of sponsored pounds lost will go to help the Orillia shelter.
The month will include an initial weigh in with trainer and an orientation on the weight and cardio equipment. It also includes all fitness classes and 7 days a week access to Genesis Health & Fitness.
A final weigh in with Genesis trainer will calculate total pounds lost. What a great incentive to lose weight and get in shape. The animals of the shelter will thank you!

JUNE 11, 12, 2010 TAG DAYS

Please give generously to our volunteers who will be canvassing outside local business in Orillia and area for our annual ‘Tag Days’. If you are able to volunteer 1-2 hours for this very important fundraiser please call Carol Beard at 325-1304.

Reduced adoption fees, cats and kittens only $75.00. Don't miss this amazing event and give the kitties a wonderful new home!

JUNE 19, 2010 ALL 'FORE' THE ANIMALS GOLF TOURNAMENT

To be held at Lake St. George Golf and Country Club. Tickets are $100.00.
This fun filled day will get started at 1:00 p.m. with shotgun! You will play 18 holes of golf with a power cart and then enjoy a delicious dinner. Get your own foursome together or we can create a team for you. It's a great way to support the animals!

JULY 17, 2010 NO RODEO - RODEO DANCE!

This is a KICX 106 FM video Roadshow Production. Tickets are $15.00 in advance or $20.00 at the door
It's time to dust off your cowboy boots and hat and join us at our annual 'No Rodeo - Rodeo Dance'. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Ontario SPCA Orillia Branch or Petro in Coldwater. This is an age of majority event - I.D. must be presented

AUGUST 28, 2010 BARRIE DRAGON BOAT RACE

3rd Party event - The staff of Carriage Hills Resort, and Carriage Ridge Resort, will be participating in the Barrie Dragon Boat Race to raise donations for the Ont. SPCA Orillia Branch.

AUGUST 31, 2010 SUPER PET CALENDAR 2011 DEADLINE

Entries for Your 2011 Super Pet Calendar are due now. Cost is $10.00 per entry and calendars are $10.00 each. Get your camera out and ready to snap those unique and wonderful photos of your pet. All photos are entered into the calendar but 13 entries will be chosen as the ‘super pets’ for this year’s calendar to grace the front cover and to represent each monthly page. SEPTEMBER 25, 2010 'FOR A GREAT PAWS' CHARITY DINNER AND AUCTION

To be held at the Silvernightingale Ballroom at Casino Rama. Tickets are $80.00 each. Cocktail hour - 5:00 p.m. Dinner served at 6:00 p.m.
Enjoy an elegant evening in the Silvernightingale Ballroom at Casino Rama with cocktail hour starting at 5pm, dinner served at 6pm and the live and silent auction will get underway at 7:30pm. There will be two bottles of complimentary wine on each table, fabulous door prizes to be won, our new ‘Digging for Gold’ game and hundreds of auction items to bid on, all to support the Orillia branch of the Ontario SPCA.

Tickets are $25.00. This festive event will allow you to take a peak inside beautifully decorated homes and then join us for a decadent tea and treats in the Silvernightingale Ballroom at Casino Rama.
